You are interested in home furnishing and eagerness to understand customer needs. you have the solid purchasing knowledge, overall understanding about how supply chain works. you have the strategic thinking and solutions oriented with holistic view, always act with the customers, suppliers and total IKEA in mind. You have the strong project management capability with the good communication and leadership capability.

About the job

New Business Function is under Purchasing & Logistic Area East Asia, we aim to contribute the business by Identifying market and business opportunities and act on new business assignments in existing and new sourcing markets, transforming these opportunities and assignments into products and ranges- for the many people.

About the assignment

New Business Developer will be responsible for a variety of responsibilities as below:

- Identify, act on and materialize market opportunities based on business assignments to support IKEA growth.
- Lead and drive new business projects, start up new suppliers, new materials/components and new technologies (including leading new supplier mapping&evaluation, New products and material verification and qualification)
- Contribute to supply market intelligence in existing and new sourcing markets, pro-actively share knowledge cross categories about identified competitive advantages and limitations for business development
