The Investments Digital Area Manager will drive the successful implementation of digital capabilities and initiatives. Build and maintain effective relationships with all functions and portfolios across INGKA Investments, to ensure that digital projects are aligned with our overall business strategy, support the need of area of responsibility and full integration with other business processes.
You will execute the digital strategy for INGKA Investments, ensuring that it aligns with overall business objectives and that it is responsive to changing market conditions and emerging trends in digital technology.
To be successful as a Digital Area Manager/in the role, you need to have deep understanding of technology and toolsets, specifically those used for development of the financial and business development capabilities.
We believe you have a strong knowledge of cloud ecosystems implementations and trends. Deep understanding of the cost drivers in systems delivery and operations and the commercial consequences of the technical decisions made.
As a person you are passionate about technology configuration, adaptability, and use. We think you are a firm believer of user focused design and development. You appreciate the mix of strategic thinking and turning business needs into tangible outcomes.
You have a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science or equivalent. Strong (5+ years) leadership experience in a large organization working with information technology, business information management, data operations. Proven record of successful leadership skills with demonstrated ability to work with senior leaders and by leading in the unknown.
We believe that you recognize yourself in some of the bullet points below:
•Extensive understanding of how technology affects business drivers and preferably to how that relates to key investment businesses.
•Extensive knowledge of how to set direction, create and manage long-term plans, set budgets and goals, and follow up on OKR’s.
•You have hands-on working experience of Microsoft cloud-based technologies like Azure, MS 365 and MS Dynamics.
•Hands-on experience in creating business cases, describing wished positions, and breaking them down into actionable items and consequent follow-up.
•Good understanding of procurement processes and vendor relationship management in the context of Digital capabilities.
•Demonstrated experience in leading and executing the Technical Due Diligence process, for potential investments in external companies.
Your responsibilities
As a Digital Area Manager, you will build and maintain effective relationships with all functions and portfolios across INGKA Investments, to ensure that digital projects are aligned with the overall business strategy, support the need of area of responsibility and full integration with other business processes.
You will develop and maintain relationships with all companies in Ingka Group, (Group Digital and Ingka Centers Digital), to create strong working relations leading to a common vision, strategy, and roadmap for implementation.
You will take the accountability and coordination of the Ingka group technical teams in the due diligence of target acquisition companies and potential ecosystem partners as input to major investment and/or partnership decisions.
You work closely with external digital partners, vendors, and agencies to ensure that the company has access to the latest digital technologies and best practices.
You will also lead the digital development in the assigned area of responsibility taking into consideration the business needs while creating synergies to achieve optimal deployment of new and existing capabilities.
The position will be in the Netherlands you will report to the Digital Technology Manager for INGKA Investments.
