"\n WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE\n

\n * You need to have business level Japanese language skills (both speaking and writing).
\n
Starting Date of this role is planned from 1st September 2021.
\n
•\tYou have a degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Science/ Management, Architecture or similar field (If not, 4 or more years of experience in those fields works too!).
•\tYou have 5 or more years of leadership experience working on commercial projects where you’ve done contracting and consulting.
•\tYou know how to plan, organize and manage costs and expenditures for medium to large scale projects
•\tYou are familiar with all local and national construction standards, codes and rules, including their cost drivers and structures
•\tYou are a natural people person, easily build rapport and partnerships with both external and internal stakeholders
•\tYour management style can be summed up like this: open door, empowering, strategic and supportive. You believe that leadership is a collective activity where we all have something to learn from each other.
•\tYou can effortlessly juggle multiple priorities while keeping a smile on your face
•\tYou work well with deadlines and can organize and prioritize your workload all by yourself (and well!)
\n
•\tExperience within the retail sector is an advantage
•\tPrevious experience of procurement processes and contract negotiations
•\tPrevious experience of construction management on site
•\tProven skills in developing people and provide support, coaching, training, and career direction to others
•\tAbility to communicate confidently and clearly in English and Japanese
•\tPreferable knowledge of Ingka construction standards and investment procedures\n

\n YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES\n

\n •\tWork with designers and contractors, together find cost efficiencies and innovations
•\tPartner closely with Procurement to identify best sourcing options and procurement strategies
•\tWork closely with Engineering to optimize, innovate and develop the best for project methods for design construct interaction.
•\tCoordinate all Construction Project delivery work developed in the Cluster and align implementation of those activities with all internal and external stakeholders
•\tEnsure delivery of safe, compliant, sustainable and innovative property solutions
•\tMake sure appropriate resources are available for all stages of your project
•\tEnsure that internal and external partners are always informed and up to date
•\tEnsure project budget estimates and time schedules are in place for approval purposes
•\tEstablish procurement, contractors, permits, budgets and cost follow up are aligned for all projects

\n Lead and manage all construction aspects of a specific building project from start to finish to secure delivery of a safe, compliant, sustainable and innovative property solution based on business needs.
