Job description
  • Lead the warehouse goods flow team to secure the highest goods availability for customers at all times and at the lowest possible cost.
  • Ensure the agreed logistics actions from the store business plan are implemented in the goods flow process.
  • Ensure that the delivery shipments are staged and loaded as per agreed working methods and routines.
  • Contribute with relevant goods flow input and feedback to the store business plan and logistics action plan.
  • Allocate and create sales space for all External Range articles and ensure they are picked and assigned for home delivery racking.
  • Efficient planning of the flow of goods within the external warehouse; from goods receiving to sales locations for replenishment and to ensure availability of sufficient stock to meet the needs of the customer.
  • Identify, recruit and develop the many talents in the goods flow team to secure succession planning.
  • Live the IKEA values and nurture a strong and thriving IKEA culture that inspires colleagues to reach extraordinary achievements in the store and especially in the goods flow team.
  • Ensure that the goods flow team works in compliance with the IKEA code of conduct, internal IKEA regulations and local legislation relating to health, safety and security and the environment.

Qualification

Knowledge

  • Understanding of budget, cost and key performance indicators and how to use them to plan, follow up and steer the business.
  • Skilled in creating an efficient and cost-effective commercial performance.
  • Understand and actively use all IKEA manuals, specifically the In-store Logistics the IKEA Way manual to build additional competence.
  • Skilled in retail and/or logistics processes, tools and working methods.
  • Understand the Global Service Protocol and local appendices relating to transport and delivery.
  • Sound understanding of the IKEA Code of Conduct, as well as regulations and legislation relating to health, safety and security.
