About You
At IKEA, we like to do things a little differently and we like to have fun whilst we do it.
We currently have a position available within Facilities for an FM Co-worker and we are looking for the right person who can work as part of a team or individually ensuring that our stores are maintained to a high standard, providing a great environment for our co-workers and customers. The ideal candidate will need to be self-motivated, have good organizational skills, and be confident in communicating at all levels. Ideally, you will have a background in maintenance and hold a trade qualification either electrical, mechanical or plumbing, although this is not essential.

The role includes a 1 in 3 weekend on-call/working pattern - candidates must be willing to work this.

It is essential that the ideal candidate:
• Has a good understanding of the Facilities function
• Has an awareness of M&E and the FM Services
• Is competent in completing facilities tasks and using tools
• Is able to manage FM projects and work to deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable knowledge/experience in:
• Facilities experience in a retail environment
• Facilities Management systems
• Site H&S regulations, understanding, reading, producing method statements, risk assessment and permits to work
• Working at Height: MEWP/IPAF
• BMS & CAFM systems knowledge
• Knowledge and competence with contractor management as well as ensuring legal compliance.


About the Role / Assignment
The role of a facility co-worker is to deliver site-based facility management services to ensure a sustainable, safe, clean, and functional environment for other co-workers, visitors, and customers. The key aspect of this role will be having a passion to maintain our property and equipment with the ability to learn and develop the site maintenance and management with support from the facility Management Specialist.
General Building Maintenance Examples:
• Minor plumbing repairs
• Equipment maintenance
• Toilet maintenance
• Door repairs
• Painting
