It is a great time to be in Digital Experience Design at IKEA! 

Guided by our motivation to create a better everyday life for the many people, we are driving human-centered-design into all areas of the organization to put the customer and coworker at the center of everything we do.

This application represents all Product UX Design opportunities at this level across the IKEA customer domain. Those opportunities include:

Product UX Designers, Find and Explore

Part of a growing team of 25+ mid-level and senior Product UX Designers and Researchers. Our Find and Explore team focus on the upper and mid funnel customer journey, as well as the IKEA mobile app. The team is responsible for helping our customers uncover and experience all the relevant and meaningful IKEA ideas, products and services. Helping customers feel confident that they are on the way to making their homes even better.

Product UX Designers, Sales and Payment

Sales and Payments is a growing team of 12+ Product UX Designers and Researchers with diverse experience and backgrounds, both in life and work. What is important to this team is not ruthlessly optimizing conversions but instead enabling our customers to shop with us in the best and most appropriate ways for them - regardless of when and where.

Product UX Designers, Customer Engagement

This growing team of Product UX Designers and Researchers are focused on the interactions that IKEA has with customers across all channels and touchpoints. By understanding their needs and behaviours, this team aims to make our customer promise a reality where customers’ identifying with IKEA and sharing their data has clear value to them.

Product UX Designers, In-Store Digital Experiences
The in-store digital team is focused on solving key customer painpoints within our physical store environment. We explore digital solutions for challenges such as in-store wayfinding, waiting times at the check-out, and the stock availability experience in-store. If you are interested in the space between physical and digital customer experiences – this could be a great team for you!

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

Our team is made up of passionate experts in all areas and levels of Digital Experience Design: Product UX Design, Strategic Experience Design, Data Experience Design, Experience Design Research, Emerging Tech Design, Digital Taxonomy, Content Strategy, Experience Writing, Optimization Writing, Inclusive Design, Design Systems, Motion Design, and Design Ops to hold us all together and keep us efficient.  

We are growing the Digital Experience Design organization and need passionate co-workers to help drive IKEA into the future!

As a Product UX Designer in our team, you will help craft the user experience for billions of customers around the world. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across UX, Product, Data and Engineering, to deliver world-class digital experiences. 

To succeed in the role, we see that you have experience in many of the following:

- User Experience Design in a B2C context

- Producing and implementing a wide variety of Design deliverables to best communicate your designs to stakeholders

- Defining strong evidenced-based design rationales for your work and communicating and advocating for those decisions

- Contribution and active participation in agile ceremonies together with a product team where necessary

- Working directly with developers to support the feasibility and implementation of your designs

- Cultivating a deep understanding of users through observing and executing various iterative user research methodologies

- An understanding of measuring the business value of design

- A strong portfolio demonstrating academic and/or industry knowledge of various areas of Product UX Design
